[M.AX Regional Conference] Semiconductor Manufacturing AX Insights from Gumi
Mondrian AI participated in the 3rd M.AX Regional Conference, held in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, on October 28. Hosted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the event brought together around 250 attendees, including representatives from 10 AI companies and 150 manufacturers, reflecting strong interest in AI transformation across regional manufacturing.
At the Mondrian AI booth, AX consultants provided on-site consultations and introduced the full manufacturing AX journey, from AX consulting to deploying MonPlant, its manufacturing-focused AI platform. The challenges discussed with participating companies will be explored further through a two-week free AX consulting program.
During the conference, CTO Ji-min Hwa presented a CMP component inspection automation case developed with Shinhan Diamond Industrial. The inspection workflow uses AI to identify potential defects, with operators making the final decisions. This approach increased defect detection accuracy from 60% to 90% and reduced inspection time by 41%.
